01What It Is

What is telehealth physical therapy?

Missing a week of PT because of a work trip, a childcare gap, or a schedule that just does not line up is a real problem, and it is not one you have to solve by pausing your recovery. Telehealth physical therapy delivers the same one-on-one guidance and program design as an in-clinic visit, through a secure video visit from wherever you are. It is a strong option for home exercise program check-ins, movement coaching, education, and follow-up visits where hands-on treatment is not the primary need.

A physical therapist still leads every session, the same therapist who has been managing your case in person, not a rotating on-call provider. They review how your body has responded since your last visit, adjust your program, and coach your form in real time through video, so distance or a packed schedule does not have to interrupt your recovery. A telehealth visit still moves you through the same Pain, Prime, Perform, Prevent framework we use in the clinic, so it advances your plan instead of putting it on hold.

New York allows patients to start physical therapy without a physician referral, and that applies to telehealth the same way it applies to an in-person evaluation. We verify your insurance benefits before your first virtual visit so there are no surprises, and self-pay options are available if that is a better fit for you.

02Who It's For

Who it's for.

Telehealth keeps your recovery moving when getting to the clinic is not realistic. It is not meant to replace every in-person visit, just to fill the gaps around it. These are the people who benefit most.

01

Working around a packed schedule

Between work and life, getting to the clinic every week is not always realistic. Telehealth keeps your program moving without the drive, so a missed commute does not turn into a missed week of progress.

02

Staying on track between visits

We check your form, review your progress, and adjust your home program so you keep making progress between in-person sessions. It is especially useful in weeks when an in-clinic slot does not line up with your schedule.

03

Living farther from the clinic or on the road

Distance does not have to mean a gap in your care. Whether you are traveling for work or simply live outside a quick commute to Tribeca, we keep your plan moving and pick back up in person whenever it works for you.

03What To Expect

What to expect in a session.

Here is how a typical telehealth visit runs, start to finish, and how it connects back to the care you get in the clinic.

01

Secure video check-in

We connect over a secure video visit and review how you have been feeling and moving since your last session. This is also where we flag anything that needs hands-on attention at your next in-clinic visit.

02

Live coaching & form review

Your therapist watches you move in real time, correcting form and adjusting your exercises on the spot. Because it is the same therapist who has been managing your case, the coaching builds directly on what they already know about your injury and your goals.

03

Updated home plan

You leave the call with an updated program to carry you until your next visit, in person or virtual. Any changes are also reflected in the exercises we send you, so there is no confusion about what to do next.
