Physical Therapy Aide

I was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. I attended elementary school in Park Slope, high school in Midwood, and college in Downtown Brooklyn. As a first-generation college graduate, I have earned my Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Movement Science from St. Francis College.

I previously worked at a physical therapy clinic in Brooklyn called New York Therapy and Wellness, where I was given a great opportunity to work as a therapy aide. In this position, I supported the therapists and assisted with their daily needs to help ensure that patients received the best possible care.

Core Values:

The core values that drive me in life are family, perseverance, growth, determination, and helping others. My family motivates me to work hard and make them proud of everything I do, while perseverance reminds me to always keep pushing forward, even when I face challenges in life.

I value personal growth because I believe there is always room to learn, improve, and become a better version of myself.

Determination pushes me to stay focused on my goals and reminds me that with hard work and commitment, I can overcome obstacles and accomplish what I put my mind to.

Lastly, helping others is important to me because everyone needs a person’s shoulder to lean on, especially when the world may seem small or overwhelming in the moment. Whether it is supporting someone through a difficult situation, sharing what I have learned, or simply being there when someone needs help, I want to make a positive difference in the lives of others and make sure they know they are not alone.

“The saddest thing in life is wasted talent, and the choices that you make will shape your life forever.”

In my role, I help sanitize the equipment and treatment beds, ensuring that the transition between patients and therapists is as smooth as possible. I also make sure that clinic supplies are consistently stocked and help with resolving any issues related to equipment or scheduling.

Something patients have to deal with that I want to fix is reassuring them that everything is sanitized and ready for them to use.

What I like about working here is how welcoming, friendly, and social everyone is. I see how comfortable the patients are with the therapist and talk to them about their personal lives. It just shows how much of an amazing job they are doing, not only as therapists but also as people who genuinely care about their patients, and I am hoping to be like that with my patients in the future.
