DR. LINDSEY STEELMAN
DPT, Herman and Wallace certified
Physical Therapist
I grew up in a small town in Harford County, Maryland. I then moved to Boston, Massachusetts, to attend Eastern Nazarene College. After graduating, I moved back to Maryland and began my DPT program at the University of Maryland, Baltimore. I currently live in Brooklyn, New York, and am enjoying the city.
I am a pelvic floor rehabilitation and orthopedic physical therapist. I have spent the past few years improving my orthopedic skills and have taken a myriad of continued education courses to become specialized in pelvic floor rehabilitation for men and women of all ages. I am passionate about educating my patients on injury prevention, healthy habits, and how to create a sustainable exercise program tailored to their lifestyle and preferences. I want my patients to feel empowered with knowledge and to leave my care with the skill set to keep moving without fear of pain or reoccurrence.
My core value is love everyone around you as much and as best as you can. Always strive to learn more and be the best version of yourself, so that you can uplift everyone around you.
“Kindness in words creates confidence. Kindness in thinking creates profoundness. Kindness in giving creates love.”
— Lao Tzu
I treat orthopedic and pelvic floor dysfunctions/injuries.
I love working with patients experiencing acute orthopedic injuries, runners, and all pelvic floor-related dysfunctions/pain. I am highly experienced in treating conditions such as urinary and fecal incontinence, vaginismus, vulvodynia, pelvic pain, coccydynia, constipation, pubic symphysis dysfunction, prenatal/postpartum conditions, prolapse, painful ejaculation, chronic anal fissure, hemorrhoids, post/pre-prostatectomy, and dyspareunia. My background also includes extensive treatment of orthopedic problems, such as acute and chronic low back pain, postoperative knee and shoulder surgeries, sports injuries, chronic tendinopathy/tendonitis, arthritis, hip and shoulder pain, and sacroiliac dysfunctions.
I love having the time to treat each individual one-on-one in a therapeutic space with wonderful coworkers who share my passion for physical therapy and helping others.

PATIENT TESTIMONIALS
“I am pregnant with my second child. I am super happy to take advantage of Prenatal/Pelvic Floor Specialist Physical Therapist this time around. I wish I knew them when I had my first one.
Dr. Lindsey has been so incredibly knowledgeable, thorough, gentle, and listening to my needs before my delivery. This time can be very stressful and anxious for many mothers out there, but it has been so smooth and helpful. I feel more ready and prepared for my delivery in 2 weeks.
I highly recommend working with Dr. Lindsey and also plan to continue postpartum physical therapy to strengthen my pelvic and abdominal muscles so that I can keep my physical health strong for the long term.”
I’ve done many rounds of physical therapy in many locations over the years, and Tribeca physical therapy is the best I’ve had. My physical therapist spends the whole hour with me and caters my treatment each day to how I’m managing pain. She also looks at my whole body and how the parts are working together, not just the area in my back where I’m injured. Highly recommend!
Dr. Lindsey is the best!! super helpful and attentive also tailors the workouts to fit your needs best.
